Huntsville resident to be presented with national honourBy Brent Cooper
A Huntsville resident is being recognized for his outstanding sales efforts. Peter
Morrison of Jason Armstrong’s Huntsville Honda has achieved the level of sales master
under Honda Canada’s 2010 Council of S ales Leadership Program . He achieved a
97.2 percent customer satisfaction rating , and is ranked 69th in Canada out of1,465
salespeople based on his point total. “T he score is based on the total number of cars
sold , my customer- satisfaction index based on owner- delivery interviews and my
product training . Based on all this criteria, I will be presented with my award on Jan. 29
in Toronto”. he said . He said that his strong sales this past year . 230 cars, including
163 new vehicles . are what helped contribute to his award -winning totals. Morrison is
an award -winning salesperson with the dealership , having won the company’s sales
leader award three times . in 1988 and 1989 , just before taking over as the sales
manager at the Honda dealership . and again in 2009 . “Once I had moved into the
management position, up until 2008 , I didn’t qualify for the award because I was not a
salesperson. When I decided to go back to my first love of sales two years ago, I was
able to re-qualify for the award.” This year, Morrison was able to qualify for the more
prestigious sales m aster award . His long tenure with Huntsville Honda started in 1980,
in the service department for more than four years before moving into the sales
department in 1985. He said that receiving the award not only reflects on his own efforts
but speak s well about the dealership’s commitment to its customers. “I am excited
about winning the award, because not only did I make the cut on sales volume, but also
the ranking. Making the rank at 69 is just as impressive to me and it is a b it of a feather
in the cap for the dealership . There are a lot of dealers out there who sell cars, but they
don’t support their staff in taking the right courses for sales staff. Jason is totally behind
making sure we have the knowledge to do everything right.”
